Monday Make :: Wrapped Bracelets

Keeping with last week’s theme of learning new techniques, we asked bead team member Barb Switzer to create a project that is fun to make and wear that would stretch our beading muscles in the way of wirework. She came up with these beautiful Wrapped Bracelets, which are sort of like potato chips: you can’t make just one!

You can make your own Wrapped Bracelet in just about an hour! Learn more by clicking the link to complete printable PDF instructions.

Last week you learned how to knot cording (have you made Erin Strother‘s Knotted Jasper necklace?); this week we’re going to learn how to wrap fine gauge wire around larger wire bangles to create these gorgeous sparkling bracelets. Play around with the colors, textures, and styles of beads that you love. You don’t have to use the same beads that Barb did, but this is just a good place to start.

Here’s what you need to make your own stack of these sparkling beauties, all of which can be found at your local Michaels Store:

Let’s get this Monday Make started!

    Love the bracelets but I searched Michaels and can’t find these bracelet forms listed. As a jewelry maker I’ve seen most everything Michaels has. Where were these purchased, do you have a link? Thanks

      Hi, Sue! I love these, too! I have asked Barb for a photo of the bracelet forms she used, in their package. I’ll post it when I get it from her. Thank you for your comment!
