Monday Make :: How to Make Chandelier Earrings

Contrary to popular belief, sparkling chandelier earrings don’t have to be time-consuming or difficult to make. Here’s the secret: pre-beaded chain! Our Bead Gallery line includes purple, red & a gorgeous iridescent blue chain, which you can find on the end of the Bead Gallery aisle right now!

Glass on chains

Our pre-beaded chain available at Michaels works great for everything from the featured earrings to ready-to-make bracelets!

I was so excited to see this chain in the new endcap, as chain like this is often found at bead shows sold on rolls and by the foot, usually for a pretty penny. But these can be yours from your local Michaels for a great price! You can get about 3 pairs of earrings out of one chain–more if you use half an inch of chain–making this a great value as well as a smart move for those who like the look of beaded chain, but don’t have the time (or the eyesight!) to make them ourselves!

Now, let’s get these chandelier earrings started! Grab your basic jewelry-making tools and some of your favorite focal beads. Drop shapes work wonderfully, but as you can see in the first image, I’ve used rectangles, and ovals would work beautifully as well. ChandelierEarringsHalcraft
