Monday Make :: DIY Druzy Hair Pin

We’re still seeing druzy stones in all of our favorite jewelry, so why not create some beautiful druzy accessories for our hair? Barb Switzer did just that for you with this druzy hair pin project. You’ll get to flex some of your wire-work muscles and end up with a piece you’ll love to wear–and gift–this holiday season and beyond.

You don’t need many materials to make your own set of druzy hair pins. All you need is a sparkling focal (most round Bead Gallery sliders will work!) and two different gauges of wire. These beauties are perfect to make by the dozen and the simulated druzy in the sliders is an affordable alternative to heavy druzy stones. You do need a few basic tools, though, all of which you can find at your local Michaels Stores (click through the links to find the materials on the Michaels website):

Now that you know what you need, let’s get this Druzy Hair Pin started!
