Designer Erin Strother always knows how to wrap up all of these characteristics into one dramatic piece. Her Mr Death Necklace uses multiple finishing techniques for a necklace that is the perfect accent to a Halloween outfit, but it’s stylish enough to wear outside the Halloween season to add a bit of fringe to your favorite broken-in leather jacket.
One of my favorite parts of this necklace is the many techniques you can learn when making it. Erin shows you how to use cord ends as well as bead cones together to create a finished look for multiple leather strands. She uses large-holed skull beads to cinch up leather cord tassels and gives a great texture to the piece with hematite-finished E beads. She also uses waxed linen cording with the E beads to add more texture. You’ll up your bead stringing game by making this necklace as well as create a great accessory for Halloween!
Let’s get down to the heart of the matter: materials.
