Sedona Jewelry Set – Druzy pendants are trending this Spring/Summer 2016. You maybe wondering what exactly is “druzy?” Wikipedia states that “in geology, druse refers to a coating of fine crystal on a rock fracture surface, vein or within a geode. Because of its sparkling appearance, druse is sometimes used in jewelry making. Both glittering effect of the tiny crystals and the color of the base mineral are factors when selecting druse for this purpose.” – I have to admit, I’m a little obsessed with druzy pendants and agate slices. These little gems are my inspiration for this week’s DIY Saturday jewelry set.
Our first project in our set is the Sedona Necklaces. These necklaces are handcrafted using Bead Gallery® turquoise dyed howlite arrow, gold tone metal 3mm round, turquoise dyed howlite stone 6mm, gold tone metal small square spacer, shell aqua luster round 7mm and our newest line of ready-to-wear gold-plated 18″ necklace. The ready-to-wear chain is currently not on line but you can find this new line above the Bead Gallery® pendants at your local Michaels stores. The findings are a bright gold tone. The pendants are a new line called “Sedona” produced by Michaels Stores. All of the materials in this design can be purchased at your local Michaels store.
Our next project is the Sedona Bracelets. These stretch bracelets are super easy to create and are perfect for the beginner to advanced beader. The Bead Gallery® beads used in this design are turquoise dyed howlite arrow, turquoise dyed howlite 10mm stone, gold tone metal small tube, gold-plated 4mm round beads and gold tone metal 3mm rounds. All beads and materials can be purchased at your local Michaels Stores.
Lastly we have the Sedona Earrings. These earrings are handcrafted using turquoise dyed howlite arrows and gold tone metal 3mm round beads. The druzy pendants are the “Sedona” brand by Michaels Stores. All supplies can be purchased at your local Michaels Stores.
I don’t care for turquoise with gold. It looks tacky. Would like to see turquoise with silver.
