Pretty Palettes :: November Reveal

I selected two palettes for November, with two different color ways.

For the first palette, I found some great beads to complement the tones, and kept to roughly the same size and shape for all the beads.

I made a multi-strand bracelet that I am calling Market Fresh.

When using the same size, it is helpful to have some variety in the finishes. Here I have some smooth rounds, matte rustic stone, some chunky faceted and some micro faceted rounds. And in order to have some visual interest, I made sure that each strand had as least two of the beads in it so that each strand, while unique, references the rest.

For the second, more subdued palette, I chose to get beads that represented each color, but had widely divergent shapes and sizes.

I made a multi-strand necklace that I am calling Autumn View.

This necklace has the appearance of being asymmetrical, when in reality, it is perfectly balanced and patterned. The key is to mix the beads in each strand, while keeping a pattern.

Check back here on Wednesday, December 4th for the next palette challenge with a Christmas ornament theme. The next reveal will be on December 25th!
