The picture inspiration for September’s Pretty Palettes challenge sure made me hungry. How about you?
The soft colors of the sweet striations and the puddles of melting ice cream are so lovely. The gleam of the forks ready to dig in and the whole berries dotting the top of the dessert make a striking contrast to the muted pastel shades. SO much to be inspired by!

Here is what I made inspired by the picture, the palette and the beads from Michaels:
In August I was smitten with what my Pretty Palettes partner Stephanie LaRosa designed and submitted to the challenge. So much so that I asked her to join me for September! (See? All you need to do is submit something and you could be next!)
Miss Stephanie has a joyfulness when it comes to color combos and a playful, bohemian style. I feel like her jewelry would be easy to wear and something you would throw on every day. This is a much more muted palette than I have seen her design with, but I know that she is up to the challenge. Here is a sneak peek of her design. Be sure to stop by and see what she made with the beads I sent her! (That quote is awesome!)

The new Pretty Palette challenge for October will be revealed on October 8th.
Great palette Erin. :) I love the way the dangles in your necklace have the layers of color and the dark at the bottom is contrasted by the creamy pearls at the top. Beautiful as always.
Beautiful color palette. The design you created is very unique yet elegant! I love how you tied the soft hues together beautifully with the silver components. Even though the hues are reminiscent of late summer, this piece would also look beautiful during the winter!
